The healing properties of Rhodiola rosea were highly appreciated even in ancient China and Tibet, and it was even forbidden to export valuable rhizomes outside the country.

Description

Badan root properties
Badan root has anti-inflammatory, astringent, hemostatic and bactericidal properties,
strengthens the walls of blood vessels, moderately lowers blood pressure,
has the property of slightly increasing the heart rate.
Application of badan
Badan root is used for inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, diarrhea and dysentery.
In gynecological practice, a decoction of badan root is used for heavy menstruation, bleeding after abortion, erosions of the cervix and leucorrhoea, taking orally or doing douching and baths.
For dysentery, badan preparations are prescribed with antibiotics and sulfonamides.
In the national economy, badan has long been used as a tanning agent for leather.
Its leaves, which have lain under the snow for the winter, are used in Altai as “Mongolian tea”.
Leaves and rhizomes are used as medicinal raw materials.
In dentistry, the gums are lubricated with a decoction, rinsing is prescribed.

Liquid medicines from the badan root are used in the form of an extract or decoction.
To prepare the extract, 3 tablespoons of bergenia roots are poured with 1 cup of boiling water, half evaporated and filtered hot. Take 20-30 drops 3 times a day before meals.
Douching is prescribed with an extract solution at the rate of 1 tablespoon per 0.5-1 liter of water. The volume of the liquid is adjusted to 1-1.5 liters.

The procedure is done daily.

A course of treatment
2-3 weeks.
To prepare the broth, 1 tablespoon of crushed bergenia roots are poured with 1 glass of hot water, boiled over low heat for 30 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 10 minutes, filtered and squeezed. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times daily before meals.
